Dear BSC Community,
Earlier in the year, the Collective Leisure team (David Burns and Jennifer Barker with their great team of Tresha Castrodes, Kat Mills and Dean Ross) ran a high-quality comprehensive workshop over three days tailored for all Year 10 students, alerting them to so many important aspects of their lives - nutrition, sleep, drugs, money management, scams, effective listening, meditation and much more.
Collective Leisure has gathered some great evidence for this worthwhile initiative including photos, footage of students' interviews, and students' evaluations.
David and Jen interview some reputable people regarding the world of leisure and health and more importantly they are a strong voice and provide initiatives for the youth and disadvantaged groups which has enabled them to offer work to so many former BSC students - Dean Ross (who had Year 10s in the palm of his hands voicing advice to them in the workshops), Merna and Karmeen Yalda, Narges Bahgeri and supported many others in key roles with jobs - Rami Suleiman (Botani), Eisha Yawarish, Marko Chiba, Fareed Murad Hanna and many more.
BSC is truly blessed to have this great connection and long-time support from such amazing advocates.
